What information do you get from annualcreditreport.com?

July 24, 2010 · Posted in Free Credit Report

I would like to know my credit score. I have done some research and it looks like the only one the government endorses is annualcreditreport.com

I was wondering, what information do you actually get? I have heard that you only get a general status like “good, fair, excellent” and not your actual credit score. Is this correct?

If that’s right, where can you get your score without getting ripped off by one of the sites that require credit card info?

    Just do it, it’s free.

If you have concerns about your credit score, or want to improve it, check the file. If you have a lot of negative items you don’t need to guess that your score is low and needs improvement.

    Try these guys: http://thescorefix.com

Annualcreditreport.com gives you present and past accounts in good standing and in not so good standing etc. This is valuable information. You can buy your credit score from them as well for a nominal fee.

You get your complete report, but not your scores. You have to pay for scores.

At the annualcreditreport.com you will get just your free annual credit report (if you haven’t already received a free one within a 12 month period)

Anywhere you go your credit score will not be free…..companies will have promos but it won’t be free…

I personally recommend you go to http://www.myfico.com to get your credit score. They will give you a score and a general status as to where you fall bad-excellent! FYI like I stated before it’s not free!!
